If you travel from Germany by car, in case of fine weather we recommend the following route (in case of bad weather as a precaution you should stay on the motorway until Spittal/Millstätter See)
In Austria take the Tauernautobahn, A10, to exit Eben. Drive through Radstadt, Obertauern, toward Turrach, and to Ebene Reichenau. After a beautiful and interesting drive you have almost reached the end of your route.
Taking this route takes just a little bit longer than the Autobahn drive, but you will be able to enjoy the beautiful landscape along the way and will avoid the many tunnels and tolls. You will now find yourself in the upper Gurktal valley. Between the two towns Ebene Reichenau and Patergassen a 3 km long mountain road takes you toward Falkertsee – up to the alpine village Seinerzeit.
The village high atop a rock spur can already be seen from the valley. The road leading to the alpine village Seinerzeit is a mountain road that is always cleared well throughout winter. However, winter tires are still necessary and keep snow chains in your car just as a precaution!
Once you arrive, you will be welcomed with a little drink!
